Nutrition II
Course Overview
As we know, the food a client eats plays a vital role in how they feel and the results they get from their personal training experience. We know that exercise provides many health benefits for clients, however it is when exercise is combined with good nutrition that a client will see the most positive changes to their overall health and wellness.
Therefore, as personal trainers we should be encouraging our clients to not only exercise, but also to focus on maintaining a healthy diet to help them reach their fitness goals. When exercise and proper eating habits become a lifestyle, clients become healthier, both physically and mentally. Following good nutritional guidelines allows clients to reduce body fat, gain lean muscle, feel more confident and reduce their risk of illness.
In this subject we will examine how you can support a client to eat healthily, and how the principles of good nutrition can be applied when working with your clients in a personal training setting.
